I’m So Glad You’re Here
Let me tell you a bit about me…
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master’s in Social Work from New York University. I’ve been a psychotherapist my whole career, working in non-profit and private practice settings.
One of my favorite things about this profession is that continuous learning is part of the job. It’s a field that offers endless opportunities for therapists to hone their skills and cultivate new ones. I make it a priority to take advantage of these opportunities.
I’ve undertaken advanced training in a range of evidence-based practices, from emotionally focused couples therapy to child-parent psychotherapy. I’ve invested a lot of time into the study of psychoanalytic and psychodynamic modalities, which I believe serve as critical foundations for in-depth therapeutic work. The majority of my advanced training has been in trauma-informed and body-centered approaches, which I deem imperative to engaging in safe and transformative work.
Ultimately, every individual is unique. That’s why I’ve developed broad skillsets and varied approaches to be able to meet the unique needs of each person with whom I work.
That work consists of engaging individuals and couples who require support for an array of experiences, including but not limited to: navigating/transitioning to adulthood; pregnancy, postpartum and parenthood; anxiety; perfectionism, people pleasing and codependency; trauma and complex family dynamics as well as relationship issues.
